0922 |
Fire helmet from Germany. The brass helmet in Württemberg shape with horsehair bush was built by the company Beuttemüller & Co. from Bretten. At the front is the letter "K", which stands here for the city of Karlsruhe. This helmet was worn around 1875. There is a perforation in the comb for inserting an officer bush or ball point. Here is mounted a black officer's horsehair bush. The colour belonged to a platoon commander, adjutant or officer. The brass tip is about 11 cm high and on top about 6.5 cm in diameter.
See helmet 0108, Germany.
