Slovenia Sheetsteel helmet (˜1942)
In this collection since: 05.07.2017
0949 Fire helmet from Slovenia. The helmet made of sheet steel consists of three parts. Eyes and neck brim are welded together at the side. The helmet shell is attached to these brims in 8 places. The helmet shell was placed asymmetrically. The helmet shell is going inside over the brim. To attach the inner helmet this area is perforated. A leather chin strap is present, the inner helmet is missing. The helmet is based on the design of the German air raid helmets M38. As on the helmets of former Yugoslavia and Austria, the so-called "spider" was mounted on the helmet shell instead of a comb. She is also made of sheet steel on this helmet. At the front the brass emblem of the fire brigades is attached.
The helmet was produced in the time of the second world war.
