Weimar Republic until 1933 Leatherhelmet (˜1930)
In this collection since: 06.05.2017
0925 Fire helmet from Germany. The leather helmet shown here is probably one of the most built leather helmets in Germany. The helmet was made in the period after the First World War. It was derived from the M15 used in the German Army. Often the army helmet M15 was also converted to a fire helmet. The helmet has a brass comb, the eye brim is framed with brass, the side cockades for attaching the chin strap are also made of brass. The helmet coat of arms shows here the eagle of the Weimar Republic. On his chest you can see the general fire service sign. For helmets in Prussian provinces, the coat of arms of the province is appropriate here. (see helmet number 0884, Germany) The helmet was worn in the period between 1930 and 1934. The order of the helmet emblems you can see at helmet number 0921, Germany.
