Aluminum helmet (˜1960)
In this collection since: 16.04.2017 |
0917 |
Fire helmet from the USA. Manufacturer of the yellow aluminum helmet is the company Cairns & Brothers from New Jersey, USA. The helmet type is called 350 "Senator". The helmet was worn by the Fire Departments around 1960. The front piece in black colour stands for a fire truck. On the stylized eagle head, which holds the front piece, the patent number: 1.889.537 is engraved. On the front piece, the name of the town "Kirkwood" stands white on a red background, in the middle a white 1 and below them "KFD" for the Kirkwood Fire Department.
The KFD has three fire stations. Presumably, the white 1 is on the front plate for the Fire House 1 located in W. Argonne.
See helmet number 0130, USA
