0915 Fire helmet from Germany. The 3-piece M38 air defense helmet made of sheet steel is from around 1938. Opposite to the helmets 0008 and 0588, Germany, the helmet is painted black. He already has the simpler inner helmet, which was used from 1944 in the one-piece air raid helmets. At the front there is the air protection emblem in silver color.
Inside is an imprint, which limits the sale of the helmet to 8, - Reichsmark. The decree was given by the Prussian Prime Minister Field Marshal Göhring on 07.2.1940. Furthermore is to read: Vertrieb genehmigt gem. § 8 Luftschutzgesetz - Kopfweite: 55 (Sales approved in accordance. § 8 air raid law – head size: 55cm). The stamped serial number is RL 2 38/28. RL 2 38/28 stands for the manufacturer "Paul Diener, Dresden. The helmet has no device for attaching a neck protection leather.
