0896 Fire helmet from the USA. Manufacturer is the company Cairns & Brothers from the USA. The helmet type is called "770, Philadelphian". The model 770 is manufactured since 1974. The current standard for this helmet was the ANSI Z89.1-1969 Class D. The yellow Lexan polycarbonate helmet has a shorter rear brim. He should facilitate the wearing of a respirator. The helmet shown here was made in 2002. In which fire department the helmet was used, is not known. It's the helmet from a lieutenant. The lettering is on both sides, including the number 2. On the front, a sticker is attached. On it is also the inscription Lieutenant and the corresponding badge, a mouthpiece.
Model 770 is no longer being built. The helmet model 660 C Metro, launched in 1981, is comparable to the helmet. This is still being built.
