Fire helmet from Germany. The leather helmet shown here is probably one of the most built leather helmets in Germany. The helmet was made in the period after the First World War. It was derived from the M15 used in the German Army. Often the army helmet M15 was also converted to a fire helmet. The helmet has a brass comb, the eye shield is framed with brass, the side cockades for attaching the chin strap are also made of brass. However, cockades and chinstraps are missing here. The helmet was used in the period between 1915 and 1934.
See helmets 0487 and 0488, Germany. The helmet has a swastika symbol at the front. He was used with this badge after the end of the Weimar Republic in 1933 until the introduction of the uniform steel fire helmet M34 in 1934 (see helmet 0893, Germany). According to stickers inside the helmet comes from the region Oldenburg.
