Fire helmet from Switzerland. The yellow helmet was built by the Canadian company Safety Supply Company. However, the company was better known as Safe-T-Hat. She produced the very popular helmet types Chieftain and Super Chieftain between 1960 and 1980 (see helmets 0132/0163/0747). Less common was the model shown here. In this helmet, the type name, unlike the other helmets, was part of the brand label. On the inner helmet, made of PVC, are various labels. For example the year of manufacture 1975. But also the complete manufacturer's name Safety Supply Company Willson Toronto Canada and the serial number 53-0650 can be seen here. On the inner front the company sign is incorporated.
The helmet was used by the fire department of the Swiss town of Bütigen at the Electrician Corps. He was in use until about 1995.
