Australia Synthetic helmet (˜1981)
In this collection since: 14.11.2016
0835 Fire helmet from Australia. The white polycarbonate helmet is from the American company "MSA" in Pittsburgh, Pensylvenia. It was produced as a Topgard model in 1981 and was probably used until 2000. The Topgard model is approved as a fire helmet according to ANSI Z89.1 1969 Class "D". (American National Standard Institute). For further information on the helmet, see 0738, Chile. On the front of the helmet is the badge of the fire brigades of New South Wales, the so-called "Fire & Rescue NSW emblem". This reflective emblem incorporates the state emblem with the slogan "Orta Recens Quam Pura Nites" (Just recently, how beautiful you shine).
A yellow and a black stripe is attached to the helmet. The ranking is made by the silver angle on a green background. This ranking is a "Qualified Firefighter".
At the back is a sticker with the inscription "6011 W.LEA". Unfortunately the exact meaning could not be determined.
