Fire helmet from the Netherlands (Holland). The black helmet, made of steel sheet, was made after the army steel helmet "M28" which was worn in the 2nd World War. The inner helmet consists of leather straps which are attached to a thick leather strip. To adjust the head size, the leather strap is not adjusted but these leather straps. There is a metal buckle on the back. The neck leather is attached directly to the inner helmet. On the front is the inscription "Brandweer Klaaswaal" This type of inscription was a common way to mark the helmets of a fire brigade.
