United Kingdom (UK) Cork helmet (˜1970)
In this collection since: 13.04.2016
0784 Fire helmet from Great Britain. The traditional cork helmet was built by Cromwell in Great Britain. The helm model is called County Style F135. The helmet was used between 1970 and 1975. At the London Fire Brigade there was a successor (see Helm 0026, UK), the Cromwell County. This helmet was in use for another 15 years. The cork helmet from the fire brigade of the city of London has a damage on the left side. Here, the upper cover (linen) is torn open and gives free the view on the actual helm material (cork). The helmet was produced in 1975. Its head size is from 7 to 71/4.
