Palestine Synthetic helmet (˜1985)
In this collection since: 19.02.2016
0771 Firefighter helmet from Palestine. The helmet of the Nablus Fire Department is a Cairns & Brothers helmet from the USA. The model is called 660-DD Phoenix (see helmet 0370 USA). The helmet type was already developed by Cairns in 1981. It was the first plastic helmet built according to NFPA regulation. The NFA is the National Fire Protection Association. The valid version at the time of the helm production at 12/2006 was the NFPA 1971 - 2000. The NFPA 1971 protects fire fighting personnel by establishing minimum levels of protection from thermal, physical, environmental, and bloodborne pathogen hazards encountered during structural and proximity fire fighting operations.
On the front is the badge of the fire brigade of Nablus.

The company Cairns & Brothers describes their helmet as follows:

The MSA Cairns® 660C Metro™ modern fire helmet is tough enough for structural firefighting, light enough for wildlands, and small enough for EMS and confined space applications. Available with the popular retractable Defender Visor, which can easily be raised or lowered with a gloved hand.
