In memory of the victims of the assassinations of 11 September 2001 Fire helmet from the USA. The manufacturer of the leather helmets is the company Morning Pride. The helmet type is: "Ben Franklin II". The Ben Franklin II helmet has been built since 1998. From 1998 onwards, the fire brigade of the city of New York (FDNY) switched from its classic helmet, the N5 New Yorker from Cairns & Brothers to this helmet model. For more information on the helmet and the FDNY see helmet number 0333, USA. The helmet was already produced on 20.10.1998. In the helmet, a sticker indicates the use of the FDNY (Property of FDNY). Instead of the vehicle number and the personnel number of the firefighter, a memorial front shield is attached here. The large leather shield shows the number "343" and the date "9-11-01". The number 343 stands for the number of killed firefighters who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11. |
