In this collection since: 22.01.2016
0756 Fire helmet from Belgium. The helm from the city of Liège was built by the German company Schuberth. The glass fiber helmet, according to US American helmet models, was manufactured by Schuberth Braunschweig between 1970 and early 1980 for export. At the time, Schuberth had various helmets in his assortment, including the helmet "US-FEU", which was also used in Switzerland (See Helmets 0259, Switzerland). Whether this helmet is predecessor of the US-FEU is not known. The helmet with the broad neck shield and the wide helmet brim is made of glass fiber. The material is raw inside, outside the helmet is smooth and lacquered with a persistent color. The inner helmet corresponds to the German DIN helmet of this time. On the plastic strip stands: "Schuberthwerk Braunschweig DIN 4840". On the front is a plastic badge with the coat of arms of Liège. Liège capital of the province of Liège. The city is located at the confluence of Ourthe and Maas not far from the cities of Maastricht in the Netherlands and Aachen in Germany.
See helmet 0059, Belgium.
