Japan Synthetic helmet (˜1982)
In this collection since: 22.01.2016
0752 Fire helmet from Tokyo, capital of Japan. The helmet is the Japanese standard fire helmet made of fiberglass. For details on the helmet, see 0517, Japan. The silver-colored helmet was built in 1982. He has no rank marking. This indicates a firefighter. The clothes of the normal firefighters are completely silver-colored. The helmet has no eye protection. It is only available at later models. Instead of the integrated eye protection a visor was attached to the outer side. The spherical visor is fixed to an aluminum bracket. This is placed on the helmet edge and fastened with a spring. The fastening technology is similar to the German protective visors. However, this visor is attached on the side and secured with a spring at the front and rear of the helmet. Due to the double bearing, the visor can be pulled very close over the helmet in the open state. The emblem of the Tokyo Fire Brigade is affixed to the front in golden color. The inner helmet is very simple and reminds of a construction helmet. The neck cloth is fastened by press buttons. At the same time, they are the fastening points of the inner helmet to the helmet shell. The chin strap is extremely poor as the inner helmet. It is to be adjusted, but has no opening possibility. The helmet was manufactured by Kobayashi Fire Protectives Co. Ltd. Built. The helmet type is: H246. The importance of lateral emblem (JS) is unclear.
