Fire helmet from the Netherlands. The white helmet is a combination of leather and metal helmet. The helmet shell is made of aluminum, also the high, narrow and massive helmet comb. Eye and neck screen are made of leather. Both parts are connected laterally. The connection is detachable by a buckle. The leather neck protector is attached to the helmet, aswell as the headband of the inner helmet and the chin strap. This can be adjusted in length. As a head support is a single, very wide linen belt inserted. The manufacturer of the helmet is not known. The helmet was worn by a Bevelvoerder around 1950. The badge on the front is the general firefighting sign of this time. |
