Bosnia and Herzegovina Synthetic helmet (˜1991)
In this collection since: 28.12.2015
0732 Fire helmet from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The heavy gray helmet is made of fiberglass. It was produced in 1991. The outer side and the inner sides of the screens are smooth. The inside of the helmet is raw. The helmet reminds with its tapered brim to the plastic helmets from Chile (see helmet number 0316, 0318). The comb resembles to the Adrian M15 helmets of the French fire brigades. (See helmet 0149). The inner helmet is made of leather and linen ribbons. The chin strap is missing. Inside is a manufacturer badge. It shows a tower and the inscription "Gradec". Gradec is a town in Slovenia. It is possible that the manufacturing company was in Gradec. The helmet was deployed at an airport fire brigade of the Yugoslav Air Force in Sarajevo. Sarajevo is the capital and government seat of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the canton of Sarajevo.
