In this collection since: 13.12.2015 |
0728 |
Fire helmet from Russia. Light metal helmet, black lacquered. The helmet corresponds to the brass helmets already built between 1900 and 1920. The shape of the helmets is based on the French helmets of this time. The metal helmet was worn as a successor to the brass helmets from around 1930 onwards. From 1940 the helmet was replaced by a new generation. See helmet 0162, Russia. The helmet has a high, narrow comb of metal. A massive bead is visible on the sides. On the front is a large metal badge showing the hose and axes, ladder, fire, hammer and sickle. On the side are exploding grenades, also made of sheet metal. The inner helmet is made of linen. For officers there was this helmet also nickel-plated and with sheed chain. |
