Until December 2006, Braedstrup was an independent municipality, after which it merged with other municipalities. Today the municipal´s name is Horsens Kommune.
The company Falck maintains a fire station in the commune of Braedstrup. (Nørregade 37, 8740 Brædstrup, Denmark). Until about 1970, Falck's helmets were black. Officers wearing orange helmets and inspectors wearing white helmets. From 1970 changed the helmet color and the normal fire fighters got white helmets.
