Fire helmet from Great Britain. Manufacturer is the British company Solo in Darlington, County Durham. (Solo Thermal Imaging Ltd.). The helmet type is: Solo Unifit RCN. The massive fire helmet is more than just a helmet. Its concept includes a built-in respiratory mask and a radio link. The Solotic model also includes a thermal imaging camera. The helmet was built according to EN443 or EN136, EN137: 2006. The date of manufacture is 20.07.2012. The relevant test data and the serial number can be found in the attached service booklet. The manufacturer describes his helmet as follows: An excellent fire protection helmet with integrated respirator mask as standard as well as integrated communication system - meets all requirements. The provision of head protection, respiratory protection and a powerful communication interface in only one system offers many advantages. When communication becomes more and more difficult in the fire place, the SoloTM -Helm provides crystal-clear reinforcement and thus increases the safety of the fire-brigade personnel. The helmet is made of a fire-retardant resin and fiberglass composite material that provides unique protection and comfort. The SoloTM range also features a Nomex neck protection collar that optimally protects the fire brigade personnel. The ergonomic design gives the helmet shell a simple shape and the helmet can be placed in seconds, which increases the reaction time of the fire brigade personnel and ensures safety at high temperatures and other hazards. Weight always plays a role when it comes to personal protection. The Solo TM cuts in comparison to standard helmets very well, because it combines head protection, clear communication and respiratory protection in a weight of 2.4kg - compared to a standard helmet of 1.7kg, to which protective mask and communication function must be added. The SoloTM can be used with devices from all leading ASG manufacturers such as Dräger, Scott and MSA. This also applies to the communication, which is compatible with the range of Motorola, Icom, Sepura and Tetra.
