| 0704 | Fire helmet from the former GDR. The duroplastic helmet is the successor of helmet number 0392, GDR. It was produced in the period from 1955 to 1962. The manufacturer was Robert Lubstein and VEB Perfekt. The helmet is developed further than its predecessor. The inner helmet was almost taken over, the chin strap now has a 4 point attachment. The neck leather can be attached by leather straps. The inner helmet is attached to the helmet with round rivets. The ventilation holes are more massive. Below the metal edge protector you can see the green color. The helmet was painted black after the cast. The material was not suitable for the helmets as there was always tension at the part between the front and the rear brim. This helmet was produced in the IV quarter of 1958. The stamping on the inner side of the inner helmet provides this information. From 1962 the helmet was no longer produced, its successor is helmet number 0013/0394 GDR. An insignia is attached to the front. It is not known in which relation the star stands to the fire brigade. | |||||
