| 0691 | Fire helmet from the USA. The helmet was built by Cairns & Brothers, USA. The helmet type is called "Streamliner 710". The Streamlinerserie was produced already starting from 1935. It is made of aluminum sheet. The helmet shown here is the middle version produced since 1950. The helmet was punched, 8 wells were formed in the helmet at this time. High combs were mounted in 4 of these wells. They were riveted on top and at the lower end on the helmet side. In the last model version of 1965 (see helmet 0671 USA) these 4 combs no longer exist. The helmet equipment was the patented Sanitary Cushion Liner. At the front is the leather badge of the "OFD" fire brigade. | ||||
