| 0686 | Firefighter helmet from Spain. The unusual helmet comes from the city of Barcelona. The manufacturer or helmet type is unknown. The helmet seems to have been handmade. The helmet is made of fiberglass. Inside, the surface is raw, smooth outside. The brass comb is screwed or clipped to the bell. The inner helmet is made of coarse, black leather. The 4 flaps of the inner helmet are screwed to the helmet, the headband passes through the 4 straps. It can be adjusted by a metal buckle in the length (head size). The leather chin strap is similar to the old metal helmets in German form. It has no locking eye but is adjusted by moving the two sides. At the front, the helmet has a brass edge protector. The white cord on the front has only decorative function. It is completely attached to the helmet and has a brass button on the side. There is a fire-fighting sign and the text "Bomberos". On the front is a large brass badge. It is the fire brigade coat of the city of Barcelona as it is also on the leather helmets from the time around 1930 to be seen.
