Aluminum helmet (˜1965)

Fire helmet from the USA. The helmet was built by Cairns & Brothers, USA. The helmet type is a "Streamliner 710". The Streamliner series was produced already starting from 1935. It is made of aluminum sheet. The helmet shown here is the version from 1965 onwards. In the last model of this series, there are not 4 combs left as they were made on the helmet models 550 or 650 "Seamless Crown" leatherheads or the early models of the Streamliner series from 1935 and 1955. (See helmet 0691 USA) Instead, a considerably larger number of very low combs was installed. In addition, the top of the helmet shell was provided with a double layer sheet. The helmet equipment was the patented Sanitary Cushion Liner. On the front is the leather badge of the fire brigade "NFD". |
