United States Synthetic helmet (˜2002)
In this collection since: 28.04.2015
0668 Fire helmet from the USA. The manufacturer of the yellow helmet is the company Morning Pride. The helmet model is: Lite-Force. The helmet comes from the new product series that came on the market in 2002. It included the LiteForce, LiteForce plus and Ben Franklin II helmets. Since then, the Ben Franklin II has been the standard helmet for the FDNY (see helmet 333,661, USA). The helmet serie should replace the "Lite-Fore III, IV, V" models from 1990 and the "72 plus" model from the 1980s. The new generation consists of a glass fiber composite. The helmet was produced on 08.06.2002. It should therefore be one of the first helmets of the new series. The helm has at the front the badge of the Port Authority NY-NJ, which includes the airports of New York and New Jersey, as well as the World Trade Center, the port, the bus terminals and the bridges, the New York City tunnels. (JFK, Newark, LaGuardia and Stewart). The Port Authority Police is responsible not only for port and airport security, but also for fire protection. Before 2002 the unit used the Cairns & Brothers helmet model 660.
