Denmark Synthetic helmet (˜1970)
In this collection since: 25.04.2015
0665 Fire helmet from Denmark. A rather unusual fireman's helmet is this red-painted "construction helmet". The company is E.D. Bullard Co in Sausalitos United States. The helmets have been developed for use in forest fires. They were called Hardboiled Safety Hats. The helmet type was HAT- Model No.303, CAP-Model No.302. The helmet complies with ANSI Z.89.1 Class A as amended by 1969 and ANSI Z.89.2 Class B as amended by 1971. In 1972 the company moved with the production from Sausalitos California to Cynthiana, Kentucky. Accordingly, the helmet would have been built between 1969 and 1972. On the inner helmet is the symbol of Bullard "Hard boiled" and the text "Bullard Dihedral". A production date is not recognizable. The successor helmet is the FH911C series. The version FH911C was the version with the simplest equipment. They were equipped with chin straps and neck protection. The original helmet color was yellow. On the outside is a coat of arms in silver with with a attached badge on it. The badge is decorated with helmet, ax and water nozzle. A brass button is attached to the right side. There is also a helmet, ax and water nozzle on it. On the left side is an oval brass plate. These brass plates are, however, attached to the front of other helmets. The helmet is still being built.
