Fire helmet from the USA. The manufacturer company is Cairns & Brothers from Clifton New Jersey. The yellow leather helmet is the model 5A New Yorker. Originally, this model was developed and built for the FDNY, the fire brigade of New York. The FDNY, however, uses today as a successor helmet (see No. 333), the Morning Pride Ben Franklin II. The helmet comes from the Newark Fire Department in New Jersey. The red front badge with the number 7 stands for the "Ladder 7". The ladder 7 isstationed together with the Engine 15 and Mobile Command Unit at 271 Park Ave. The fire station belongs to Batallon 3.
Unfortunately the formerly assembled Bourk Eyes do no longer exist. Date of manufacture approx. 1985
For further information on the helmet, see No. 331,645, USA.
