Fire helmet from Iran. The red helmet is a Cairns & Brothers helmet from the USA. The model is called 660-DD Phoenix (see helmet 0370, USA). The helmet type was already developed by Carins in 1981. It was the first plastic helmet built according to NFPA regulation. The NFA is the National Fire Protection Association. The valid version at the time of helm manufacturing 12/2006 was the NFPA 1971 - 2000. On the front is the badge of the fire brigades of Iran.
This badge is available in metal, fabric and plastic. This badge is also used on caps. The helmet is not from Tehran but from the surrounding area of the Tehran fire brigade.
The company Cairns & Brothers describes their helmet as follows:
The 660C Metro is a modern fire helmet. It is hard enough for structural fire fighting, light enough for forest fires, and small enough for the rescue service and cramped facilities.
Available in seven varnish colors: black, yellow, red, white, orange, blue and green
Impact pad in the helmet provides superior impact and heat protection
Patented helmet shell not corroding by fiberglass composite material. It resists cracking and flaking
Robust and highly temperature resistant. Does not melt and drip.
Nomex Chinstrap has one-hand quick release for quick removal and adjustment
Nomex or Kevlar neck protection for increased neck / ear protection
3 point attachment, rear ratchet height adjustment for a secure and comfortable fit. Removable inner cover
