| 0629 | Fire helmet from Czech Republic. The shape resembles to the American helmets, noticeable is the applied plastic comb, which transitions into a front plate at the front. At Helm number 72 from Slovakia, a sheet metal plate with various fields is installed. In this helmet, only one metal flap was attached to fix a luminaire. The helmet has a very solid inner helmet and a large nape cover (made of very soft leather) reaching to the ears. It is also noticeable that the chin strap on the inner helmet on both sides can only be fastened with hooks. The chin strap itself is missing. One a label inside stands: "ERGON n.p.". The company Ergon is located in Prague. An embossing on the front shows the year of manufacture 1981 as well as the helmet type "VEL II". The black helmet comb is for the team. Officers have a red helmet comb. The successor helmet is the "PZ II" type, which was introduced from the mid-1980s. See helmet 384, Czech Republic. | ||||
