Belgium Cork helmet (˜1920)

0627 Fire helmet from Belgium. The massive cork helmet was produced by the Belgian company Levior. Levior began the production of cork helmets from 1907 onwards. The manufacturing time of this helmet model began around 1910. The cork helmet has a high, wide comb and a wide, flat screen. The inner helmet is made of leather, the head size is not adjustable. The chin strap is fastened to the side at two points. It can be closed with a metal buckle. At the front is the emblem of the Belgian fire brigades. The emblem was used up to the last generation of helmets of Levior in 1980. The helmet is the predecessor of helmet 156, Belgium.
