Sweden Steel helmet (˜1935)
In this collection since: 20.09.2014
0623 Fire helmet from Sweden. The German helmet, built according to DIN 14940, has been worn in Sweden since about 1930. He has some peculiarities against the German version. Striking against the German helmet, for example. No. 49, is first the round shape of the neck protection. The winter interior features a significantly larger head impact plate (a filled rubber bladder, attached to the head with fabric, loosely inserted into the helmet) than the German helmets, as well as in the area of the ear leather flaps. The head strap is attached to the helmet with a distance cork. The silver helmet has a small, approx. 15mm round emblem on the front, with a helmet and two crossed axes. Nothing is known about the emblem. The city of Stockholm shows on its badge the coat of arms of the city, in addition, the helmets of the city of Stockholm were chrome-plated. On the right side in the inner helmet the badge is much better preserved as at helmet 308. The badge is the company logo of the maqnufacturer company Henrikssons Brandredskap Stockholm. The helmet was probably produced in the time around 1935. A DIN stamp on the helmet is not available because after 1956 that the standardization of German fire brigade helmets began.
Successors to this helmet generation are the helmets 104 and 70.
