Firefighter helmet from Romania. The manufacturer of this helmet is the Romanian company General Conf Grup (GCG) in Bucharest. The helmet shown here was one of the first products of this company. This type of helmet was used in the years between 1994 and 2000 and developed further up to production end. The helmet shown here dates from the time around 2000. The helmet description can be read at helmet number 558, Romania. In contrast to previous helmets, an inner helmet is integrated here. The inner helmet consists of a plastic headband. The front is covered with leather. It can be adapted to the head sizes from 51 to 62. The harness is made of nylon as well as the chin strap, which can now be closed by a Velcro closure. The neck protector is also attached to the inner helmet with Velcro fasteners. The plexiglass visor has a different shape. Helmet 558 can be opened further. However, there is still no possibility of fix the visor during the use. The lateral holes for better hearing were no longer available with this model. See 450/558/559 |
