Wikipedia writes the following about the Fire Department of Nablus:
Nablus is one of the few cities in the West Bank, which has its own fire brigade. It was founded in the year 1958. At this time, the "fire brigade" was composed of five members and a fire truck. In 2007, the department had seventy members and more than twenty vehicles. Until 1986, the fire department was responsible for the northern part of the West Bank, today it is only Nablus and Tubas Governorate.
