Fire helmet from Austria. The black helmet was produced from the company Konrad Rosenbauer from Linz an der Donau. The helmet is shown as number 1033 B in the catalog of the company. It was described as follows: Vienna helmet, crest wide, Rosette storm band. The helmet bell is made of leather, eye and neck guard made of sheet steel, inside black and green. The wide comb made of nickel silver has a flange. With 7 rivets the comb is attached to the helmet. The helmet could be ordered with different equipment. In addition to the wide comb, other combs were possible. Instead of rosettes for attaching the storm band, lions heads were available. At the front is an emblem of enamel mounted. The coat of arms is divided horizontally. Blue above, yellow below. In the field below, there is the name of the city of Rohrbach an der Gölsen in Lower Austria. A village with about 1600 inhabitants. The village is located about 30 km southwest of Vienna. See helmet 131 |
