Fire helmet from Germany. The leather helmet shown here is probably one of the most built leather helmets in Germany. The helmet was created in the period after the First World War. It was derived from the M15 that was used in the German army. Often the Army Helmet M15 was converted into a fireman's helmet. The helmet has a brass comb, the eye shield is edged with brass, and the lateral cockades for fastening the chin strap are also made of brass. The helmet was worn during the period from 1915 to 1934.
