Austria Synthetic helmet (˜2005)

0562 Fire helmet according to DIN EN 443. Producer Rosenbauer, type: Heros II, made in Austria. Polyamide shell. The helmet was manufactured 10/2005. His head size range is 53-61 cm. The helmet has a built-in, clear protective shield, no neck protection. This is optional and installed here. The helmet has other features: chin strap with safety clasp, neck cushion, adjustable size adjustment by turning knob on the outside of the helmet shell. Combinations are possible with the following accessories: flame retardant cloth for neck and shoulders, golden visor, headset, respirator eg Interspiro or Dräger, helmet lamp, various detection stripes.
The chrome-colored fire helmet is unique in Austria in this way. In addition to the refinery fire department of the OMV Schwechat near Vienna (see helmet 231) it is to use very rare. Usually, there is the helmet in fluorescent yellow or red. The helmet has no rank marking. Two circulating red stripes stand for the fireman, fire chiefs have silver stripes. For Commander and Deputy golden strips are provided. The helmets were built in 1993. With the standard changes and the introduction of the new EN443: 1997, the helmets Hero I and Hero II was immediately certified, as they have been developed out. They were made from 1993 to 2001 of polyamide. After tightening the norm in 2001 Rosenbauer brings the hero GRP on the market. With the introduction of the new helmet Hero-Xtrem, the production of the Hero helmets is terminated.
