Firehelmet from Romania. The manufacturer of this helmet is the Romanian company General Conf Group (GCG) in Bucharest. The helmet shown here was one of the first products of this company. It was created in 1994. The helmet was used in the years between 1994 and 2000 and he was still developed further until the year 2000. This helmet is from the year 1996. The helmet bowl reminiscent of the helmets of Gallet, the helmet shell is made of fiberglass. To protect against breakage of the edges, this is thickened inwards. Inside of the helmet, a cotton fabric is inserted. He is partially lined and riveted directly to the bowl. Thus, the helmet is not sitting right on the head; two nylon straps were installed as head contact. The helmet offers no possibility of adapting to the head circumference. The chin strap, also made of cotton, can be closed with two eyelets. It is attached directly on to the substance of the helmet liner. Laterally on the helmet, holes are attached. They should ensure the hearing with the helmet. The inspiration for this is certainly the full shell helmets of the former GDR, which existed at that time already. All in all, this helmet appears very purist but will be described by Romanian firefighters as light, convenient and safe. It also gave the helmet with attached, external visor. |
