Fire helmet from France. The helmet comes from the works fire brigade of the company ONERA (Office National d'Etudes et de Recherches Aéronautiques). ONERA Meudon / France is an institution that deals with the development of aviation. Manufacturer of the gray fire brigade helmet is the French company Petit Collin in Paris. Beginning in 1960, the helmet was first prepared by Petitcollin with ornate helmet interior from canvas and leather (see Helm 39). Over the time, the helmet was modified. This helmet was made around 1980. The most striking feature, compared to the previous helmets, is the rivets inside the helmet attachment, which are no longer attached to the rotating visor but on the helmet bowl. At the helm, a protective visor from plexiglass is mounted. Located on the front of the helmet is a badge of ONERA, inside of the helmet an inventory number of ONERA is glued in. |
