| 0520 | Fire helmet from Turkey. The red-painted fire helmet is made of fiberglass. While the outside of the helmet is smooth, in he inner side, the structure is very clear to see. The inner helmet consists of a headband made of leather, two thick fabric straps and a tissue. On the rear half of the inner helmet, a short leather is attached. On this, the neck guard and also the chin strap made of plastic, is fixed. The long neck leather is separately attached to the helmet bowl. The helmet was built around 1960. It is the predecessor of helmet 115. This emerged then in the time around 1970. In front is a golden emblem attached. It shows a laurel wreath, on top the Turkish crescent and star, inside a ladder, crossing hatchet, entwined by a leash in front of an old helmet with cockscomb. From 1960, these badges were worn for the first time. On older plastic helmet is still the badge of leather helmets attached. A grenade with crossed axes. | ||||||
