Fire helmet from Switzerland. The heavy helmet made of steel corresponds to the steel helmets of the Swiss Army. He was used in the period between 1950 and 1970. The helmet interior of leather consists of three parts. The parts are lined with felt. The simple, leather chin strap can be adjusted in length. It is closed by a simple flap of sheet steel. At the front the coat of arms of the canton of Zurich is screwed on. In contrast to the coat of arms of the City of Zurich (with mural crown), can be seen at the cantonal coats of arms above the escutcheon an ax. On the leather of the interior helmet, the former owner is stamped. A farmer from 8156 Oberhasli. This is about 15km north of the city of Zurich and immediately west of the Zurich Kloten Airport. |
