Japan Synthetic helmet (˜1980)

0517 Japanese Standard Fire Helmet of the fire brigade Nagasaki made of fiberglass. This helmet shape which has French and American style elements was introduced after the second world war. The traditionally established shoulder protection finds further use, however, but is not present here. The silver-colored helmet from 1980 has no rank marking. These points to a nozzle operator. The protective clothing of the nozzle operator is completely silver. The helmet has an eye protection which is pushed into the helmet. The helmets of the previous generations (see helmet 103/516) have not this visor. At the front, the emblem of the fire brigade Nagasaki is gold colored mounted. The helmet interior is more massive than on previous helmets. The inner lining of polystyrene was no longer used. The chin strap is extremely poor. Although he is to be adjusted, but he only has a simple hook to close. A sticker inside and in the shoulder wrap referred probably the trademark or manufacturer in Japanese characters. Manufacturer is the Japanese helmet manufacturer Shoei Helmets. The helmet type is called: H396
