Denmark Aluminum helmet (˜2000)
In this collection since: 07.03.2013
0512 German fire helmet as a helmet of the Danish Fire Service Organization "Falck & Zonen". Falck wore these helmets from the end of World War II until the early 1970s in black, and then the helmets were white. The white painted helmet is based on the form of the German M1943. These helmets were replaced in early 2000 by the plastic helmets F7 from the company Pacific Helmets. The metal helmet is only sporadically still worn, but usually without cross-blade and with a Falck sticker on the front instead of the metal badge. (see former helmet 511)
The helmet was made by the German company Linneman und Schnetzer Formparts GmbH in Ahlen (Member of the Frauenthal Group). The company logo LS was stamped on the rear edge. The helmet was made according DIN14940, that documents a stamp inside the helmet. However, the equipment of the helmet does not comply with the DIN. The leather straps for the neck leather are riveted to the helmet bell as well as the two-point chin strap. Normal would be a 4 point system. The inner helmet is attached to sheet flaps. These are also riveted to the helmet bowl. The rivets are not visible externally.
