Pickelhaube of the German Reich, State of Baden.
Basic body of the "Pickelhaube" is a leather fire helmet, which is originated from the M15 of the military. (see 294/267) Often even military helmets were used by firefighters. The M15 was used in part to mid-1930. The Pickelhaube was reserved to higher fire brigade officers. The coat of arms on the helmet front showed the Baden griffin without crown, the fittings, the cross blade and the cavalry tip are nickel plated. The top can be unscrewed. Next, the helmet has a curved, nickel-plated chain scales, secured with screws. The inner color of the screen is green, red on the neck, as usual for the officers of the army. Laterally on both sides, the cockade of the German Reich, black-white-red.
