French fire helmet made of brass. Helmets of this species are from the time of the 3rd Republic between 1855 and 1872. The brass helmet was used in Beaumont, today a suburb of Clermont-Ferrand. The form was created after the reign of Napoleon. The helmet is the successor of helmet no. 161. |
