0433 Fire helmet from Malta. The white helmet was made in December 1985 by Cromwell (Helmets Limited) England as type Firepro 2. In the external form of the helmet, it looks like the traditional English kork helmets. Comb and neck protection are not so distinctive. The helmet is made of fiberglass, coated white on the outside, green on the inside. A circumferential rubber strip protects the sensitive edge. The inner helmet made of plastic is covered with leather. It is for head sizes from 58 - 62cm adjustable and it is fixed inside of the inner helmet by screws onto the helmet bell. The screws do not go through to the outside. The chin strap of leather is very broad. The strap is closed with velcro. Between the inner helmet and the helmet bowl, the typical Dutch cloth is attached. Outside on the helmet no metal objects are visible. On the front is the metal badge of the fire department. Because the fire department until the year 2000 was a unit of the police unit Malta, in the middle of the of the Maltese cross szands: PULIZIJA TA'MALTA and under that DOMINE DIRIGE NOS – (in English "police Malta and Lord guide us".
