Austrian fire helmet manufactured by Rosenbauer Type: Hero II made from polyamide / glass fiber reinforced plastic, 4 times painted in fluorescent yellow color. The helmet was produced in June 1990 and worn in the city of Wels, Oberösterreich until the year 2011. Circulating is an approximately 10mm wide, red reflective tape which marks the rank of a normal firefighter, on each side a yellow reflective stripe. At the front the coat of arms of the country Oberösterreich, this shows left a yellow eagle on a black background and right white / red stripes. Inside the town's name Wels is on a sticker attached. Mask attachment for the fastening a respirator. The helmet was used in the interior attack and in addition to smoke he has seen also a lot of heat. The inner shell from foam has become soft or liquid while an interior attack. Difference between Typ Hero and Hero II: Hero has a synthetic leather neck upholstery, an uncoated visor and no edge protection. Helmet use in color fluorescent yellow is for firefighters, yellow for batallion chief and orange / red for commander and deputy commander. In 2010 the fire department Wels purchased the helmet Dräger F1. |
