| 0414 | A fire helmet from a works fire brigade in England. The white helmet was manufactured by Pacific Helmets, New Zealand on 05/2001. The type is F7 (F7EK / 2). The helmet was developed for use by firefighters. He is certified to EN443 (the European norm for fire helmets) and it also corresponds to the AS 4067-1994 (Australian Standard). The yellow-painted, lightweight helmet made of Kevlar, is a two-shell helmet with foldable down, short, 2mm thick polycarbonate eye protection and a three-point chin strap. Inside an impact absorption system is installed. The helmet is for head sizes from 54 to 62cm adjustable via a rotating screw. It seems strange that the complete inner helmet (except the banding of the chin strap) is inserted only into the helmet. A neck protector and a 3mm thick visor are optionally available. A mask adaptation as on helmet F7A (see helmet 251) does not exist. The helmet was used in the fire department of the aluminum company Novelis in Bridgnorth, Shropshire UK. The company was closed in December 2010. The user of the helmet was a Deputy Assistant Chief Officer. | |||||
