0404 Fire Helmet from Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. The white helmet of a fire brigade officer is made of fiberglass. It has the form of classic U.S. American fire helmets. Striking ist he very flat, angular comb. The helmet is very light. He has still 540 grams but he has a massive shell. The helmet interior is made of plastic, the chinstrap also. On the inside helmet, the Name „Monocrom“ can be seen. Whether this is the manufacturer is not known. At the front of the helmet is a great emblem. It is made of stamped sheet metal. It does not show the coat of arms of the Argentine fire brigades, as usual (see helmet no. 292), it showes a relatively large insignia. On a shield depicting a female face and a rooster. Underlain is the coat of arms with 21 rays and two crossed axes. According to Wikipedia, this coat of arms contains the salient points of the current coat of arms of Argentina. The cap is based on the Jacobins during the French Revolution, the republican spirit of freedom from Spain to symbolize aspiring Argentinian.
