0401 Fire Helmet from Great Britain.
The fire helmet was made by the company Helmet Integrated Systems Limited in Scotland. The yellow helmet Consists of two parts. Basic helmet is the Cromwell ER1. The helmet ER1 was designed as a light helmet for the ambulance service or technical. He was made from thermoplastic and he is approved according to EN443. Apart from a few accessories can also be applied a second shell of the helmet. So the helmet is suitable for fire missions in structural fire. The installation of the outer shell is very easy and possible without tools within seconds. With mounted outside shell, the type is then called FR2. On the outer shell can be fitted a neck protection as well there is located the mask adaptation for respiratory protection at the outer shell. The 2mm thick polycarbonate visor protects the eyes and face. The helmet is adjustable in size from 52 to 62. The adjustment is done in a rotary knob which is easily accessible but only, if the second helmet is not mounted. All in all a very successful concept helmet!
