Fire helmet from the former GDR. The duroplastic helmet is the successor of helmet number 392. It was produced in the period from 1955 to 1962. Manufacturer was also the company Robert Lubstein or VEB perfect. The helmet has been developed further than its predecessor. The helmet interior is nearly taken over, the chin strap now has a 4 - point attachment. The neck protection leather can be attached onto leather straps. The inner helmet is fastened with round rivets on the helmet bowl. The ventilation holes are more massive. In this model, the metal edge protection is missing. At this point you can see the greenish original colour. The helmet was painted black after molding. The material was not suitable for the helmets properly because it repeatedly to stress cracks at the transition from front page to eye screen (see helmet number 393). This helmet was made in the third quarter of 1960. The stamping on the inside of the helmet interior gives the information. From 1962 the helmet was no longer in production, his successor is helmet number 13/394. |
